When Spring Hums

Photographing a hummingbird takes a lot of patience and a good camera helps. Among the smallest birds, hummingbird’s wings flap at a rate around 50 times per second and can fly at speeds exceeding 34 miles per hour.

This hummingbird was captured swooping into a birdfeeder during the prime of spring.
