Masks were worn for Social dancing and ceremony. The masks were often made to represent animals or enemies. This mask is known as a booger mask or ski-li to the Cherokee.
The name da lo ni ge i means yellow in Cherokee and is represented by the yellow beads adorning the mask.

Made from Lizella clay. Mask was traditionally fired in an earthen pit to develop the color.
