This is the original design for my exhibit piece “Three Worlds,” which will be featured in the Musume of the Cherokee Indian. The symbols are chosen very intentionally; they show the three worlds from our traditional cosmology. The sky vault, this world, and the underworld. As life bringers, women are tied to all three worlds. These symbols can be found in the archaeological objects our ancestors left behind.
